Meet Merle and John – two amazing members of our Accessible Properties community!
At nearly 91 years young they’ve called their Hamilton home for 30 years - and they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
John, who worked for the local Water Works department, put his name down for one of the council’s pensioner flats when retirement was on the horizon.
And the rest is history.
Merle still loves knitting—baby items these days because they’re small and quick—and takes great pride in her beautiful garden. When there’s extra home-grown veges, they happily share with others.
