We are proud to announce that Accessible Properties Asset Manager Chris Ah Honi has been selected to judge the 2019 Australasian Housing Institute (AHI) Professional Excellence in Housing Awards.
In this role, Chris will help to select and celebrate the best people, organisations and projects in the social housing industry. The awards will also showcase success stories and promote the difference that social housing professionals make in people’s lives.
Chris was chosen to be part of the judging committee after a call was put out AHI members to put themselves forward to judge the 2019 competition. He was pleasantly surprised to be selected to represent the 11,000 people working in the social housing industry in Australasia.
Reflecting on the invitation to join the committee, Chris says, “I’m excited to see what developments and innovations are happening across Australia and New Zealand and bringing these learnings and experiences back to Accessible Properties.”
Chris will draw on his 15 years of experience in both the public and private housing sectors while judging the awards. In the public sector, he has worked with Accessible Properties, Housing New Zealand and the Tamaki Housing Association. Chris has had experience in a range of roles, working in property management, social allocation, placements, quality assurance, quality management and maintenance. He has also worked in private sector in property and management roles.
