We have more than our fair share of neighbourhood treasures in Accessible Properties homes.
Good Neighbour award winner Delwyn is definitely one of them.
Her Accessible Properties neighbour and nominator, Maria, says Delwyn is an angel to her.
“I have many physical illnesses and she has helped me in so many ways.
“From cooking meals for me unexpectedly, to bringing me chocolate to help lift my spirits, to helping me lift heavy items like groceries, and bringing them into my apartment, to making me laugh and just putting a smile on my face, Delwyn reminds me that I am not alone.
“She does all these wonderful things for me with a loving and happy heart and I am especially thankful for the way she is mindful of our security here in our apartments.”
Delwyn has lived in her West Auckland home for three years and her sister Lisa is also in an Accessible Properties place. She was delighted with her win and has already spent the Good Neighbour prezzy card on a cool kitset steam train. “I’m nuts on trains!”
