If you were up early in Tauranga over the weekend, chances are you would have seen a new two-bedroom being transported to its final resting place.
More than 27 people, including AP staff and contractors, were involved in moving the 13-tonne house. It was a tight turnaround, having to be off the road by 5:30am, but the team managed it in just over an hour.
The lift required three different permits, including traffic management, road closure and transport pilot vehicles.
This will soon become a brand new home for a family about to move in, and it is a great example of the work being done by Accessible Properties in Tauranga to ease the housing shortage.
