Chief Executive Greg Orchard has announced a major milestone in Accessible Properties’ efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
It is now a Toitū carbonreduce certified organisation which means it has measured and recorded its annual greenhouse gas emissions and has committed to managing and reducing them.
Greg Orchard says Accessible Properties recognises the critical importance of environmental stewardship in today's world.
“The next step for us is to put in place reduction pathways, targets and plans which will be confirmed at the next Toitū audit in 12 months. A reduction in vehicle use and air travel are two of the areas we will be focusing on.
“Toitū certification will allow us to meet high standards of environmental responsibility as well as our social and economic commitments.
“It really is another way in which we deliver on our promise to provide a place where our tenants can belong and thrive.”
